who am i???

Well haha. You see.

I am znilfy and I create made-up languages for fun. I also create made-up cultures that speak these languages, and I like to write stories and histories about these cultures. I have a number of interests beyond linguistics, including biology/spec evo, cooking, story writing, and game dev. I am also currently studying Japanese. I was studying Mandarin as well for a time, but I have decided to stop so I can focus on Japanese.

When it comes to linguistics, I am specifically interested in writing systems, especially logographic writing systems. I really love Chinese characters and I would love to create a writing system like it someday!

My attitude towards life these days is very much 'yolo'. I am not getting any younger and there are many things I'd like to accomplish beyond just becoming happy with my body. Hopefully 2025 will be my year! edit: it wasn't my year
